Apple Orchard Album

credits

released June 19, 2020

Conceptual EP born during the unusual spring of 2020. The self-released album is recorded at artists home studio during the time of isolation in April/May 2020. At Apple Orchard Album you´ll hear new music by Estonian singer-songwriter and contemporary folk musician Mari Kalkun. The lyrics in Estonian and Võro language are written by contemporary authors Jan Rahman, Triinu Laan and Kalkun herself. The short album is set to feature a new interpretation of the evergreen Estonian song "I would like to be at home" ("Ma tahaksin kodus olla"). Most of the song topics are in one way or another investigating the relationship between humans and nature.

The album is released in limited handmade edition and the sleeve of is completed by the artist herself using the flowers of her own orchard as a reminder of the spring when we had TIME. Available only ordering directly from artist.
